Many vendors gave door prizes for the participants to receive ranging from backpacks to tickets to various activities. The Bear Creek Appreciation Dinner took place before the expo began where everybody enjoyed home-grilled burgers with plenty of water, drinks, and snacks for those who attended. The appreciation dinner discussed the upcoming ways to support and enjoy Bear Creek Scout Reservation and the changes in store for Bear Creek Summer Camp 2018. The expo successfully promoted the upcoming popcorn sale season by showcasing all it has to offer. Units picked-up sampling kits, show & sale order forms, and drones! The Alamo Area Council was able to recruit 18 new units for the upcoming popcorn sale season. For more information about the popcorn sale season visit www.AlamoAreaBSA.org/Popcorn.
We also want to give a special thank you to William Cantu who lead his team from All-State to donate $6,000 to the Alamo Area Council. This money will allow future events to be hosted. Not only did they donate this generous amount, but they also helped and volunteered with various activities throughout the evening.
